Coupleofhotels.com operates as an agent and forwards the requests and bookings to the selected hotel on behalf of the traveller.
Our services are free for the travellers.
For your safety all payments and data transfers are made through Secure Servers.
We provide our accommodation offers exclusively to travellers who use Coupleofhotels.com to find them. This means private bookings for travellers or their acquaintances, or bookings made by companies for their employees.
Commercial resale of accommodation offers obtained from Coupleofhotels.com without written consent from Coupleofhotels.com is prohibited.
Accommodation contract and payment
When accommodation is arranged through Coupleofhotels.com, the accommodation contract comes into effect directly between the traveller and the hotel selected by the traveller. The traveller must pay the accommodation costs quoted by Coupleofhotels.com directly to the hotel. All claims and obligations arising from the accommodation contract exist directly and exclusively between the traveller and the hotel he or she selects.
To receive a confirmation the traveller will provide his or her credit card details (cardholder’s name, card number, expiry date, the issuer company and the CVV code) which will be transferred trough Secure Servers to the hotel.
Coupleofhotels.com will not charge your card. The hotel might carry out a pre-authorization to check if the card has the adequate funds to cover the accommodation expenses.
In case of the Lux for Less® booking method, the traveller pays Coupleofhotels.com directly. Coupleofhotels.com charges the guest at the moment of the booking. Therefore it is only possible to book with a valid credit, or bank card with adequate funds. This, however, does not change that the contract is exclusively between the traveller and his selected hotel.
Once the traveller has received a booking confirmation from Coupleofhotels.com, a binding room booking for the selected hotel comes into effect; there is no need for any further written booking confirmation from the hotel, or from coupleofhotels.com. Once the booking is complete, Coupleofhotels.com displays the booking confirmation on the computer screen. The traveller also receives the booking confirmation by email.
Sadly due to the nature of e-mail transfers over the internet, Coupleofhotels.com can neither check nor guarantee the arrival of the booking confirmation by email. This does not affect the validity of the booking, however if you are uncertain, please contact us.
Arrival and cancellation
In accordance with the conditions of the hotel, the traveller is obliged to arrive on the specified date (on occasions by the specified time). In the case of late cancellation or non-show (non-arrival), the hotel will charge the cancellation fee specified by the hotel and displayed on Coupleofhotels.com.
To avoid misunderstandings, changes or cancellations of bookings arranged via Coupleofhotels.com must always be made using Coupleofhotels.com. If you would like to change the details of your booking, please contact us through email citing you confirmation number, or phone during our office hours.
Coupleofhotels.com reserves the right to temporarily or permanently exclude internet users from the use of the site in cases where repeated abuse happened.
In case of the Lux for Less® booking method, Coupleofhotels.com charges the guest at the moment of the booking. Therefore it is only possible to book with a valid credit, or bank card with adequate funds. Such reservation is non refundable and non-flexible, meaning that the details of the reservation can not be modified and the reservation can not be transferred.
Reservation is guaranteed for arrival on the confirmed check in date. If you can not check in on the first day of your reservation, please notify the hotel in advance. If you do not notify the hotel, your reservation will be cancelled and you will not be entitled for a refund. Coupleofhotels.com will immediately charge your card for the total cost of your stay.
If coupleofhotels.com accepts your price, we will reserve a room for you in a hotel with equal or higher star level than you have requested. If your offer is not accepted coupleofhotels.com will not charge your card.
The reservation holder must provide a valid photo ID and a credit card at check in. Any additional, hotel specific service (mini-bar, phone, laundry, etc.) will be charged by the hotel, and are not included in the price.
Information on accommodation offers
Coupleofhotels.com does its best to verify the accuracy of the hotel information it displays. However, it is ultimately based on the information provided by the hotel, the experience of Coupleofhotels.com employees or information provided by reliable third parties (e.g. travellers). As much as possible, Coupleofhotels.com tries to ensure that the content of the hotel information is accurate, up-to-date and complete. However, that the content is accurate, up-to-date and complete cannot be guaranteed with complete certainty and Coupleofhotels.com therefore accepts no responsibility for this.
The hotel star classification displayed by Coupleofhotels.com is the standard international hotel classification. The information is based on that provided by the hotel.
Room prices
Unless otherwise expressly stated, the room prices given are valid per room, per night.
The prices shown for hotels include the VAT.
If a currency other than Euro is selected, the prices are shown in the selected currency are for orientation purposes only and carry no obligation. We do everything we can to use the most up-to-date exchange rates. The traveller’s payment at the hotel may vary depending on new exchange rates.
We do everything possible to publish and maintain accurate information on prices and the services we offer. Our providers provide us with the price and other information regarding those services. In the unlikely event that a service is provided to us at an incorrect price (due to technical, typographical, or other error), we retain the right to cancel or refuse a request to that service, even if a written confirmation has been sent.
Liability and warranty
All information has been compiled with the greatest care. However, no responsibility can be accepted for any errors made during data acquisition or data transfer. Coupleofhotels.com therefore accepts no responsibility for ensuring that the contents made available are accurate, complete and up-to-date. Particular entries regarding prices and room availabilities are the sole responsibility of the hotels, in so far that Coupleofhotels.com accepts no responsibility for information given by the hotel. This also applies to false information given by the hotel, which results in double-bookings.
Coupleofhotels.com accepts no responsibility for breaches of duty due to minor negligence, insofar as there is no effect on contractual responsibilities, life, health or body or claims in accordance with the Hungarian law
Coupleofhotels.com is liable for damages - irrespective of legal grounds - only in the case of intentional and gross negligence. The liability is strictly limited to the foreseeable, typical damages relating to the contract.
The aforementioned limitations of liability apply accordingly to breaches of duty by Coupleofhotels.com assistants.
The current version of the Data Protection Directive is valid.
Vouchers / Gift cards
All non-promotional vouchers are purchased at their face value.
Vouchers and Gift cards can be redeemed at a coupleofhotels.com purchase for a hotel listed on the coupleofhotel.com website. The vouchers and Gift cards can not be redeemed directly at the hotels.
When using the Voucher or Gift card, the total cost of the stay is payable at the time of the booking.
A Voucher or Gift card can only be used once.
Any unused credit will be available for use -through the unique voucher code- until the card expires.
All cards expire in 12 months, counting form the purchase day. A booking has to be made within these 12 months; however the stay can be taken outside this 12 month period.
Vouchers and Gift cards can be used to cover accommodation costs. They can not be redeemed against any other hotel cost (mini-bar, restaurant, etc, or additional services).
Vouchers and Gift cards can not be exchanged for cash.
Lost Vouchers or Gift cards can be replaced if there is a confirmation of the purchase.
Newsletter/E-mail notification
When registering at Coupleofhotels.com you will regularly receive Coupleofhotels.com news and details of current special offers by e-mail. You may cancel the subscription of the newsletter at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe-link in the newsletter.
Miscellaneous
Coupleofhotels.com reserves the right to all use and application of published contents. The replication, reproduction, distribution, electronic storage or transfer of all or part of the data to other data media or its use for any purpose other than those stated here is permitted only with the expressly written agreement of Coupleofhotels.com.
Coupleofhotels.com reserves the right to restrict, change or completely cease the use of Coupleofhotels.com at any time and without prior notification. A legal claim by the user against the use of Coupleofhotels.com is not possible.
Liability exclusion for links
Coupleofhotels.com has no influence on the configuration or contents of external websites. Coupleofhotels.com therefore can not accept liability for the content of external websites even if Coupleofhotels.com posted a link to these external websites.
Applicable law / Place of jurisdiction
By booking through couple of hotels.com you accept that to the extent of law, in case of legal disputes the Court of Budapest has legal jurisdiction. To the extent permitted by law, any claim resulting from the use of the site can be brought within two years from the date on which such claim arose.
